Joao Correia is a highly experienced sound recordist based in London with over a decade of prolific work in the industry. He specializes in capturing and recording sound for a diverse range of projects including feature films, short films, TV shows, and corporate productions.
Throughout his career, Joao has collaborated closely with acclaimed actors and directors, contributing his expertise to enhance the audio quality of their projects. His notable collaborations with actors include BAFTA Winner Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Thor, True Detective) on short “My England | England's Red” for Young Vic, Vinnie Jones (Snatch) in “Bezonians” ,Steve Guttenberg in the feature film "Original Gangster," Steven Berkoff in "Red Devil," and Lorenzo Richelmy in the Italian feature "Fat Cat,".

In addition to his work on productions, Joao has contributed his expertise to educational initiatives. He was employed by The Actors Studio, located at Pinewood Studios, where he served as a Sound Recordist for the Actor's Studio Showreels, collaborating with industry professionals to create high-quality reels for aspiring actors. Furthermore, he was invited by The London Film Academy to serve as a Sound Tutor/Supervisor for their Film-making Foundation Course. In this role, he instructed students on sound equipment usage, sound techniques, and optimal boom positioning for sound capture, while also supervising their projects on set.
